Hospital Spring Health Fair - noon to 3 pm - Silver City

The Health Fair offers
the opportunity to learn about the services and wellness
programs Morton Hospital provides to support good health in our
community.
The event will feature a wide
range of health information, as well as displays and screenings
from Morton Hospital and other local organizations. Several
Morton Hospital and Medical Center departments are
participating, including: Morton Home Care, Elder Behavioral
Health Services, Women’s Diagnostic Breast Center and Taunton
School-Based Health Centers.
Other organizations participating
are: the American Cancer Society, American Medical Response,
America’s Best Defense, Avon Products, Best Buy, Blue Cross
Blue Shield, Blue Hills Alzheimer’s Care Center, Boston
Medical Center Health Net Plan, Breast Care Center, Broadway

The event will also include a
karate demonstration, face painting, a DJ and a dance workshop.

Chamber of Commerce Annual Golf Tournament
The Taunton Area Chamber of Commerce will hold their 23rd Annual
Golf Tournament on Monday, May 18, 2009 at the Segregansett
Country Club. Proceeds from the tournament support the Charles
E. Volkmann Scholarship Fund and the Taunton Area Chamber of
Commerce. The corporate sponsor of this year’s tournament is
Bristol County Savings Bank. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m.,
followed by lunch. Shotgun start is at 12:30 p.m. The cost for a
single golfer is $165 or $650 for a foursome. Non-Members are
$200 for a single and $800 for a foursome. The cost includes
green fees, a shared cart, lunch, and a steak dinner. Hole
sponsorship is available for $150. For more information or to
